But when u recieve a mail, you will not be able to read it if there is no credit in your phone.

@angel:
Just the same if you have internet access subscription via any PTO or ISP; you cannot connect to the net to check your mail if you do not have 'credit' on your subscription. That's just the way it works, I'm afraid

MTN has also introduced a similar product called MTN FastMail.
I think these SMS-based email services are just fine for the occassional email user who has no real need images and attachments.

I don't see the SMS-to-email leg of this gaining much popularity. Why send SMS to email when u can achieve same objective by sending SMS to the recipient's cellphone, which he/she can read almost immediately. Except if it is free, very few people will send SMS to email.

The SMS-Email leg comes in handy when you do not have immediate access to the internet and you need to email:
1. someone outside of GSM coverage
2. official information
3. someone abroad
and a few other situations. I don't expect it to be used much but there are definitely situations in which it will come handy.

Anyway... RV2 is about introducing a new way to make good friends without knowing them facially.
This is how it really works:- send txt to 5 unknown Glo users asking 'em to be your friends (Hey! it is strictly TXT!!! no calls) get 'em to know u and get on wit issues concerning NIGERIA...!![]()

What if you had internet access at home or the office and had used up your paid subscription; would you be able to send mails?
Come on, let's be fair to these people.
