For myself, I had the experience yesterday. I went to one of our church branch and I ran into an old friend there. After the usual exchange of greetings, he asked me for my number. Then I started calling my number, "08033...", but wait a minute, I couldn't complete the number, I had forgotten. Somewhat a little embarrased, I pulled out my complimentary card and read the rest of the digits out.

I have been using that line for more than 2 years now, and even my little girls knew it offhead. I guess it is tension, or what do u think?

well i guess Phoneamnesia as u refer to it does happen. but happening to me not really...no. i might initially forget but i'm always fortunate enough to remember after like 5 secs.

well in seuns' case it's the side efect of changing ur number frequently. i think u're moved from MTN 2 Glo to MTEL. personally i try and avoid unnecesarily change. i prefer maintaining one email, one phone number, one username e.t.c but i guess situations at times call for a change or at least a back up.

but i guess i have forgotten people's name when about being answered, but in my case it's physically. forgetting the name of the person i want to check on/ask about after being welcomed by her roommate:) .

At times I do forget my number, so I need to write it down and re-cross check whether I got it right or not, but my MTN number, i have to check my address book. cos I dont use it often, it is only when Vmobile had Network Problem that I do switch it over. So there is no big deal in that.

When I first got my line it took me like 2 wks to know it readily cos the vmobile line I was given was with scattered numbers, dis is unlike me cos if i get to call a number twice, i dont  forget it anymore.
But right now, anytime t, i cant forget my own number.

As per mistaking the person I am calling, I dont think I could unconciously do that  cos I am conscious of ma credits.

I wonder why in the world the troubles goes round and round.

I remember heaving a sigh of relief when I had to dump my matric number, only to take up my phone number some months later.

Then, very soon, I will have to keep reme,bering my kids names.

Anyway, I still forget my second Glo line that anytime I need to give someone, I will flash my Vmobile line and pass it along........lol

To help my memory and the memory of all these i would be giving my numbers too.  I searched for an easy MTN...

Never happened to me. I sometimes find myself dialling my number when I am trying to call someone ( what does that tell you? I never forget my number, never).
