I think it's time to know how smart we are. I have 2 questions for everyone; try it, post your answer.
Q1 Before mount Everest was discovered, which mountain was the highest mountain on earth?
Q2 Can a man marry his widow's sister?

Nice one abes45:
1. Would that be Kilimanjaro by any chance?
2. If the widow's sister means his sister-in-law, then I'm of the opinion that he cannot... the law of consanguinity and affinity an all.
How did I do?

Consanguinity!! Our most learned Ra, what meanest thou by consanguinity? ![]()
Answer to (1)
Mauna Kea, an inactive volcano on the island of Hawaii?
Answer to (2)
A man cannot marry his widow's sister. Why?
Because long time ago ancestral spirits (ghosts) made a pact never to allow any of their kind to get married!

Oh -My -God!!!!! Can't believe how totally I flunked that one. That's where the virtue of patience comes in, I suppose. I simply saw the question, interpreted it to mean .... ah… whatever. Seun, I stand corrected. And erm..... not that it matters now, but the law of consanguinity and affinity is the law that renders marriage between blood relations and close family ties void abinitio..... baseless from the beginning. Well, have a nice day at work everyone and a nice week ahead.

A man cannot marry his widow's sister because he is dead. As a spirit, he cannot marry an earthling.

don't mock me, anyone with common sense can answer both questions
1. mount everest was the tallest mountain (of course it wasn't the tallest KNOWN mountain) easy as pie
2. ever seen a widow whose husband (the one she was 'widowed of') living? Although in this day and age we do have stories of 'widows' whose husbands are pretending to be dead so that they can escape debt or collect money from insurance. but apart from such cases the answer is NO
